In keeping with its mission as a Shrine, the Shrine of St. Anthony follows Canon Law as it proclaims the word of God, encourages liturgical life, especially through the celebration of Eucharist and penance, and by fostering approved forms of popular devotion.  
In addition, the Shrine carefully safeguards votive offerings of popular art and devotion through the many cultural events it hosts each year.
