We, the friars, wish you peace and goodness from the Shrine of St. Anthony. In this time of difficulty, when many church doors are closed for concerns of health, know that we here at the shine have our hearts open and are praying for you and your loved ones. Although there is no public mass at the shrine at this time, previously scheduled Mass intentions will be honored each day. In the parable of the Good Samaritan, Jesus teaches us to care for those in need. Let us all keep this image in our minds and hearts in the days ahead. Together let us pray this prayer of St. Anthony of Padua: We beg you, Holy Spirit, pour out the salve of your mercy like the good Samaritan on the wounds of our world. Bind them with the bandages of your grace, so that we may rest under Your care for a long time, until we recover from the difficulties that are before us. With Your help, who reign with the Father and the Son for all ages. Amen. St. Anthony, pray for us and be close to us
